Overview
My research focuses on the analysis of combinatorial optimization problems arising in machine learning and high-dimensional statistics. This includes:
The design and implementation of novel optimization algorithms;
Study of the optimization landscape of model problems and sufficient conditions for perfect recovery of structures within data;
Applications in planetary science, astrophysics, geochemistry, biomedical analysis, neuroscience, and sports analytics.
